As a couple its super important to take a night out from your busy schedule and go out together alone for ‘Date night’. I put this into inverted commas, as I really hate giving things titles 🙂
Last weekend our choice was Rosanero, a Family run Italian Restaurant in the heart of Macclesfield.
We decided late on that we would head out for food, so when we rang at 8pm, they were able to fit us in no problem
Our first impressions were wow, what a lovely place. So warm and inviting, with a busy, energetic atmosphere.
We sat down for drinks at the bar whilst our table was sorted. They have a great selection of wines, the pinot grigio was delicious very fruity and crisp.
We were seated, and had a look at the menu. I’ve got to be honest I had already decided what I was having, but who doesn’t check the menu before the go anywhere nowadays!
The menu is extensive, but not over the top. Great selection of nibbles, starters, platers – then pastas, pizzas and meats. They even have a metre long pizza – definitely one to try!
As I am vegetarian – a fussy one at that – its very rare that I can’t decide what to have! I opted for a Orecchiette pasta with a broccoli and pecorino cheese pasta and Ant, for Paccheri pasta with king scallops and king prawns. Both of us were very impressed, they were absolutely delicious.
They also have a vast drinks menu, with wines, spirits, beers and cocktails – my fave! Ant had their house red, and I had a Strawberry Prosecco Bellini. We ended the night with shots of Limoncello – when in Rome!
We really did have a lovely night, the food was absolutely excellent, the setting contemporary and relaxing, and the staff very good indeed. We have raved to everyone we’ve spoken to this week about this great place, make sure you check it out.
